Christine Gold d.b.a. “Délices Européennes, LLC” has opened a home-based baking business in Palmer Township, Easton, PA, featuring European cookies as her specialty. After researching the greater Lehigh Valley food-related businesses, she discovered that her types of cookies could only be found in nearby cities such as New York and Philadelphia. It was her goal to bake and service the south-eastern PA area and surrounding communities where custom-designed and elegant cookies were hard to find.
She and her husband, Stephen, enjoy world travel and the offerings that the small cafes of France, Italy, Spain and Austria bring to the consumer. Christine believes that people desire meticulously-crafted and delicious baked goods and so has made it her goal to research, develop and open this long-awaited niche.
She has found through talking to local business owners in the Easton-Bethlehem-Allentown region as well as Northampton Community College’s culinary department that her specialty cookies are most befitting of special occasions such as showers, business meetings, intimate gatherings as well as for personal home consumption where customers would want a taste of Europe.
Christine has been baking since age 12, assisting her mother and grandmother in the kitchen. After graduating college with her business degree, she worked in the corporate world for 20+ years and through the encouragement of her husband she decided to meld her business background with her passion for baking. Being somewhat of a perfectionist, her European cookies naturally reflect her desire for meticulously hand-detailed, one-of-a-kind confections.
